Together with the Executive Committee, we plan to organise at least two webinars this year on relevant issues for our industry. The first webinar will take place on 20 April from 11:00 – 12:30 CEST on the topic of “Understanding and implementing LCA in the Boating Industry”
Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is a hot topic in the boating industry. It as a methodology to assess environmental impacts at all the stages of the life cycle of a product (cradle-to-grave). As a tool, it can support boat-builders and suppliers reduce the climate and environmental footprint of boats and components in a cost-efficient manner, as well as provide valuable information to consumers. This webinar is designed for professionals in the boating industry to gain a first understanding of the basics of LCA, the business case and its potential application in the boating industry. A number of case studies and concrete tools will be presented.
